Dries de Beer, known on Facebook as Dries die Plaasman, is coming home. After twelve years of work in the United States he has joined Africa Estate to sell farms in the Northern and Eastern Free State and the North West near Kroonstad. He is in America until 13 December 2026 and lands home after that. He works under the principal supervision of Louise Fourie (Founder and Principal, PPRA FFC 0006393), and every farm he markets carries her name beside his. In America the office was often a few hundred miles long. Dries hauled feed, livestock and implements across Colorado and the Rocky Mountains, worked on farms through snow and summer, and saw how farmers there run their land, their machines and their costs. That is the eye he brings back to a Free State farm: what it carries, what it costs to run, and what a buyer will look at first. Before America he studied government finance, with financial accounting, statistics, municipal administration and local government finance.
